En parejas escoged un estado perteneciente a EEUU y realizad las siguientes tareas:

• Trabajo escrito en inglés, mecanografiado y folios en blanco.
• Debe recoger: localización, población, territorio, cultura, gastronomía, monumentos, aspectos lingüísticos (acento, vocabulario específico..etc), equipos deportivos, personajes importantes que hayan nacido en ese estado.
• Se premiará originalidad y profundidad.
• Presentación en formato "powerpoint" en inglés, no más de 10 min por pareja.
• No es un trabajo de "copia-pega" de internet. Si es así, será sancionado con la nota mínima (0)
• Se evaluará el progreso realizado en cada una de las clases.

Migas Festivity - Fund Raiser

El pasado sábado tuvo lugar en el colegio las migas solidarias que celebramos todos los años. Estas tienen como objetivo ayudar a recaudar fondos para la Pastoral Universitaria que desde hace años van con destino a paises del tercer mundo. Específicamente el año pasado fue Bolivia.

Fue un momento muy entrañable en el que padres, alumnos, directiva, profesores, familiares y el padre Villena compartieron unas ricas migas. Además hubo una tómbola, en la que además de un montón de premios, se sorteó una bicicleta.

2ª Parte - Burke Museum Video 2010 - Lux Mundi students eat fried worms!!

Algunos de los estudiantes del Lux Mundi (Álvaro, Cristina, Sandra..) se atrevieron a comprar y COMER gusanos y grillos fritos que vendían dentro del museo. Esta "tradición" o más bien atrevimiento la empezaron otros compañeros del año pasado que también participaron de este intercambio entre el colegio Overlake y Lux Mundi. ¿Os acordáis Fran, Edu..? Tal fue el éxito del año pasado que cuando entramos en el Museo Burke este año, lo primero que hicieron nuestros alumnos fue ir directamente a la tienda y lo compraron todo!! No quedó ni una cajetilla de grillos!!! ¿¿Quizá haya que incluirlo en el nuevo menú del comedor?? ¿Qué opinais?

SEMANA DEL LIBRO! Students visit the book fair!

Durante esta semana los alumnos de nuestro colegio tienen la oportunidad de tener su propia feria del libro! Hoy miércoles 21 de abril han visitado la "book fair" en el salón de actos. Muchos de ellos compraron algun libro!

Overlux visits Nerja

Today the Students from Overlux (Overlake school and Lux Mundi) went to visit Nerja, a typical town in the south of Spain. It is located in the province of Malaga. 1hour, 45minutes by bus from Granada. Hope you enjoy the slide show..
